Privacy Policy

1. Overview

DesiUtils.in ("we", "our", "the Website") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We DO NOT Collect

• We do NOT upload, store, or transmit any files you process using our tools (images, PDFs, documents).
• We do NOT store any personal data entered into calculators (salary, income, health data, PAN numbers, etc.). The single exception is the optional research question feature described below, which keeps a question only if you are shown it and choose to consent.
• We do NOT require sign-up, login, or registration.
• All tool processing happens in your browser using JavaScript. Calculator inputs and generated reports stay in your browser unless a specific tool clearly says otherwise (for example, tools that send a lookup query to a public API, optional paid downloads whose payment is handled by a payment provider, or the optional research question feature that the Raj Yoga and Navamsa result pages may show).

4. Cookies

• For tracking, we use cookies only through third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense); we set no first-party tracking cookies.
• One ESSENTIAL first-party cookie exists: buyers of the Client Report Studio receive a signed license credential cookie that keeps their license active between visits. It identifies the license, not your browsing, and is set only after a purchase or activation.
• You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The free tools continue to function normally; the Studio needs its license cookie to stay activated.

5. Affiliate Links

Selected finance calculators on DesiUtils.in include affiliate links to credit cards and other financial products. When you click these links, the destination network logs the click for attribution; we do not pass any of your calculator inputs to the network. 6. Third-Party APIs

Some tools fetch data from external APIs. These API calls contain only the search query (e.g., an IFSC code), not any personal information.

• IFSC Lookup: Razorpay IFSC API (your IFSC query is sent to their server).
• Pincode Finder: India Post API (your pincode query is sent to their server).
• Currency Converter: Open exchange rate API (no personal data sent).
• Mutual Fund NAV: AMFI/MFapi.in (fund scheme queries sent to their server).

7. Payments (paid downloads and the Client Report Studio)

A few tools offer a paid offering - a paid download (for example, a detailed PDF report) or the Client Report Studio license. Calculations and PDFs are still generated in your browser; the details you enter into a tool are not uploaded.

• Payment is processed by a third-party payment provider, named on the checkout page, under that provider's own privacy policy.
• We do not store your payment details.
• The provider gives us a payment reference and the contact detail you give it for the receipt, which we use for support and refunds.
• Client Report Studio license checks: activating or revalidating the Studio sends us the license key (the payment reference), a random installation identifier naming that browser, and - at the first activation after purchase - the payment link reference from the checkout. These license records are separate from, and never joined to, anything you enter into the Studio: client names, birth details, chart results, logos and dossier contents are processed in your browser and are not part of any license call.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Data Security

Your tool inputs stay local to your browser, which keeps the security surface minimal. Records relating to paid offerings - payment references, support emails, and Studio license activation records - are kept only as long as needed for support, refunds, and operating the license. Payment transactions themselves are secured by the payment provider. If you are shown the optional research question feature and consent to it, that question is kept for 180 days and then deleted; the full detail is in our Astrology Chat Research Privacy Notice (/privacy/astro-chat-research).

10. Your Rights

• You can disable cookies at any time via browser settings.
• You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking.
• You can manage Google ad personalization settings.
• We don’t store your tool inputs, so for almost everything on this site there is nothing to request deletion of. The exception is the optional research question feature on the Raj Yoga and Navamsa pages: if you are shown it and consent, you receive a deletion code and can remove that question at any time - see our Astrology Chat Research Privacy Notice (/privacy/astro-chat-research). For payment records, contact us with your payment reference and we will assist alongside the payment provider.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
